Blackbuck National Park is a national park in India, located near Velavadar, Bhavnagar District, Gujarat. The park, located in the Bhal region of Saurashtra, was established in 1976 and is around 45 kilometers from Bhavnagar, the district's official seat. The Maharaja of the princely kingdom of Bhavnagar mostly used the 34.08 km2 territory as a "vidi" (grassland) to hunt blackbucks with his famous hunting cheetahs. To the south, it parallels the Gulf of Khambhat's beaches. It is bordered to the north by meadows and wastelands. The national park is situated in the 4B Gujarat-Rajwada biotic province, which is part of the semi-arid biogeographic zone.
