History of Camp Hanuman Ahmedabad:-

One English Executive proposed to shift the temple to the priest of the temple.

However, the devotee and priest refused. English got demolished four inns near the temple, demolished small temples, and on receiving an order for demolishing Hanumanji Temple, millions of black and yellow wasps surrounded the wall for protection.

English executive sent labors till one week. However, the wasps attacked only laborers. Viewing this, the English executive had to reluctantly change his decision perceiving this as a miracle of Shri Hanumanji Dada to the effect that the temple will only lie here.

Before the development of Ahmedabad, thousands of devotees were availing required fruits by hearty prayer to God. Even today the god bestows the success and inner wishes of everyone.

The above historical event was described in detail in the book Shri Camp Hanumanji by Vandanaben Shukal, Shastrinagar, Ahmedabad, Vikram Sanvat 2039, year 1983. Akhatrij.

About Lord Hanumanji Images

His birth is widely believed to have occurred on a Tuesday. His birthday is considered to be Chaitra Sud Poonam (full moon day of Month Chaitra according to Hindu calendar). Some also believe it to be Chaitra Sud Ekam (the first day of Chaitra Month) in Magha Nakshatra (constellation). Some also believe his birth to have occurred on a Saturday – hence both these days are considered auspicious and best for their worship of Lord Hanuman.
