Girnar Lili Parikrama is held in the Karthik month of the Hindu calendar, which generally falls in the months of October-November, a day after Vijayadashami for a period of five days concluding on the full-moon day. After the hoisting of the Dhaja on Bhavnath temple, the ” Girnar Lili Parikrama” is performed.
Parikrama is considered pious because it is believed that Lord Dattatrey himself descends to Earth and spends five days blessing his devotees. It is an excursion for nature lovers that brings them into direct contact with nature and its hidden treasures.

દર વર્ષે ગિરનારની લીલી પરિક્રમા કરવા માટે 10 લાખથી વધુ ભાવિકો જૂનાગઢ (Junagadh) આવતા હોય છે. ભાવિકો અહીં ગિરનાર અભ્યારણ્યમાં અતિ કઠીન એવી 36 કિલોમીટરની પરિક્રમા ચાલીને કરતા હોય છે. લોકો ત્રણ રાત અને ચાર દિવસ સુધી ચાલીને પરિક્રમા પૂર્ણ કરતા હોય છે.

નોંધનીય છે કે, ગિરનારને કેન્દ્રમાં રાખીને તેની ફરતે કરવામાં આવતી પ્રદક્ષિણા એટલે લીલી પરિક્રમા. એવું માનવામાં આવે છે કે, ગઢ ગરવા ગિરનારમાં વસતા 33 કરોડ દેવતાઓના તપનું પુણ્ય ગિરનારની પરિક્રમા કરવાથી મળે છે. આમ જોઈએ તો, જૂનાગઢમાં વર્ષમાં બે વખત માનવ મહેરામણ વધુ પ્રમાણમાં જોવા મળે છે. એક મહાશિવરાત્રીનાં મેળા દરમિયાન અને બીજું ગિરનારની લીલી પરિક્રમા વખતે.
