Visitors to Ahmedabad can spend two hours exploring the city on the Heritage Walk. The tour takes you by the city’s most notable architectural structures and important historical sites. This guarantees that you will have a thorough understanding of the city in just two hours. The heritage walks are much-liked by locals as well as tourists.
Therefore, the heritage walk also showcases Ahmadabad’s vibrant culture. As part of World Heritage Week, the Ahmadabad Municipal Corporation launched the program on November 19, 1997. Since then, it has been carried out daily with the assistance of volunteers and local NGOs.

History Of Ahmedabad
In the eleventh century, this city was known as Ashaval. After being won from its Bhil rulers by the Solanki King Karna, it became known as Karnavati. Karnavati was further developed and controlled by the Solankis until the 13th century when the Vaghelas took control. Muzaffar Shah of the Delhi Sultanate acquired control of the location in the fourteenth century. Later, Ahmed Shah I, his grandson, changed the name of Karnavati to Ahmedabad in honor of himself. It was Ahmad Shah who strengthened the city walls, constructed the Bhadra fort, and further developed this location as his capital.
