આ રથયાત્રાના રૂટ પર વાહનચાલકો અટવાઈ ના પડે તે માટે અમદાવાદ શહેર ટ્રાફિક પોલીસ દ્વારા વિસ્તાર પૂર્વક જણાવવામાં આવ્યું છે કે કયા સમય દરમિયાન કયો રસ્તો બંધ રહેવાનો છે અથવા તો તે પ્રતિબંધિત રૂટ રહેવાનો છે. આ રૂટ અંગે વિસ્તારથી માહિતી આપવામાં આવી છે અને જ્યારે જે તે માર્ગો બંધ રહેશે ત્યારે તેના વૈકલ્પિક માર્ગ કે રૂટ પણ સૂચવવામાં આવ્યા છે. મુખ્યત્વ પ્રતિબંધિત રહેનારા રૂટમાં જગન્નાથ મંદિરથી જે વિસ્તારોમાં થઈને ભગવાન જગન્નાથ સહિત ત્રણ રથ નીકળવાના છે તેનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
શહેરમાં જમાલપુરમાં આવેલા જગન્નાથ મંદિરથી નીકળતી રથયાત્રા શહેરના અલગ-અલગ કોટ વિસ્તારમાં ફરે છે જેનો રૂટ આ પ્રમાણે રહેશે, જમાલપુર દરવાજા બહારથી જગન્નાથ મંદિરથી સવારે રથયાત્રાનો પ્રારંભ થાય છે અને અહીંથી પછી તે જમાલપુર, વૈશ્યસભા, ગોળ લીમડા, આસ્ટોડિયા ચકલા, મદનગોપાળની હવેલી, રાયપુર ચકલા, ખાડિયા જૂનો ગેટ, ખાડિયા ચાર રસ્તા, પાંચકૂવા, કાલુપુર સર્કલ, કાલુપુર બ્રીજ થઈને સરસપુર જશે.
બપોરના વિશ્રામ પછી રથયાત્રા સરસપુરથી નીકળીને કાલુપુર બ્રીજ, કાલુપુર સર્કલ, પ્રેમ દરવાજા, જોર્ડન રોડ, બેયર લશ્કરની હવેલી, દિલ્હી દરવાજા, હલીમની ખડકી, શાહપુર દરવાજા, શાહપુર ચકલા, રંગીલા ચોકી, ઓતમપોળ, આરસી હાઈસ્કૂલ, દિલ્હી ચકલા, ઘી-કાંટા રોડ, પાનકોર નાકા, કુવારા, ચાંદલાઓળ, સાંકડી શેરી થઈને માણેકચોક શાકમાર્કેટ, દાણાપીઠ, ગોળ લીમડા, ખમાસા, જમાલપુર ચકલીથી શ્રી નિજ મંદિર પરત ફરશે.

The route from Saraspiur would be Kalupur bridge-Kalupur circle-Prem Darwaza-Jordan Road-Bechardas Lashkarini Haveli-Dilli Darwaza-Shahpur Darwaza-Shahpur Chakla-Rangila Chowki-Otampol-RC High School-Dilli Chakla-Ghee Kanta road-Pankor Naka-Kuvara-Chandla Ole-Danapith-Gollimda-Khamasa-back to temple.
