Kumbh Mela 2025 History, Significance and Shahi Snan Dates

The Uttar Pradesh government allocated Rs 2,500 crore for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 preparations in its budget.

The Yogi government is putting in place new steps to make the forthcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, more holy and spectacular. One of these measures includes constructing the Ganga Path along the banks of the Ganges, costing ₹95 crore.

This new pathway will assist relieve traffic congestion, benefiting over 41 crore tourists and devotees attending the celebration.

A selfie spot will also be set up along the route, allowing guests to record unique moments from the event.

Kumbh Mela 2025 Detail

Kumbh Mela is extremely important in Hinduism. It takes place every three years in four different cities: Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain. The Ardh Kumbh takes place every six years, while the Maha Kumbh is conducted every twelve years in Prayagraj. The upcoming Maha Kumbh will take place in Prayagraj in 2025.

The Sanskriti Village will also have Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) displays depicting Maha Kumbh’s cultural, spiritual, and historical components. 30 enormous gates with spiritual themes such as Trishul, Swastika, Kalpvriksha, and Damru will be built on the fairgrounds.

Types of Kumbh Mela
