Vande Mataram Memorial History

The Memorial recounts the history of the ongoing fight for freedom, beginning with the Indian Rebellion (also known as the Indian Mutiny Revolt) in 1857 and continuing through the Quit India Movement and INC’s victory on August 15, 1947.

The Memorial pays tribute to the legacy of our liberation heroes like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, Jawaharlal Nehru, and beloved Bapu Ji through a collection of scenes that integrate synchronized spectacular effects, artwork, and architectural design to create a fully immersive experience.

By preserving the most significant moments of India’s struggle for independence from British rules, such as the first uprising of 1857, Jallianwala Baugh, Simon Commission, Dandi March, Quit India Movement, etc., the Memorial aims to honor the sacrifices of numerous freedom fighters and to perpetuate the spirit of unity and independence in the hearts and minds of future generations.

On Republic Day 2017, Narendra Modi dedicated the Vande Mataram Memorial.

It has 17 rooms with various historical depictions from 1600 to 1947 in 17 episodes using the 4D technique. Aside from several other attractions, the complex includes a park, a magnificent statue of Bharat Mata, and a craft park.
