Shivrajpur Beach has located 12km from Dwarka (Gujarat) on Dwarka-Okha Highway. Recently Shivrajpur Beach gets Blue Flag Certification. It was accorded the Blue Flag certificate in October last year on various criteria, such as water quality and cleanliness. It is a beautiful beach with clear water and white sand. Shivrajpur beach is the best location to spend weekend time with family and kids. You can spot their dolphins and some beautiful birds.

The beach offers stunning sunsets and picturesque views to tourists.

For making it an ideal tourist destination, the beach management has introduced water sports, food, and shopping areas for the visitors. Be careful while venturing into the water as there is no rescue team available.

Gujarat adds yet another feather to its hat of accomplishments with the Shivrajpur Beach, [located near the famous pilgrim destination Dwarka], receiving the iconic Blue Flag recognition from the Foundation for Environment Education (FEE), Denmark, which is the world’s only eco-labeling authorities for beach and coastal areas across the globe.

The government of Gujarat has jointly worked to achieve the first-ever Blue Flag eco-label certificate for Shivarajpur (Dwarika) beach issued by FEE, Denmark through Beach Environment Management & Aesthetic Services [BEAMS] program.

Blue Flag beaches are considered the cleanest beaches of the world and with this coveted recognition, It has now placed itself on the global map as one of the cleanest beaches in the world that offers world-class amenities and facilities to its visitors.

Shivrajpur Beach has been developed by the Gujarat Ecology Commission, under the guidance and supervision of the Forest & Environment Department.

The eight beaches of India recognized under the Blue Flag beaches are Shivrajpur in Gujarat, Ghoghla in Daman and Diu, Kasarkod and Padubidri in Karnataka, Kappad in Kerala, Rushikonda in Andhra Pradesh, Golden in Odisha and Radhanagar in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

There is also a lighthouse near the beach. The ruler of Kachchh Maharao Deshalji built a small fort along with an 11m high black masonry unlit beacon known as Mojap beacon in 1720-21 here to provide shelter and safety to the Kachchhi vessels. The lighthouse was damaged during the earthquake on 26th January 2001 but was restored immediately.

How To Reach Shivrajpur Beach :

Ahmedabad to Dwarka is only 450 km and 8 hrs by car.

Rajkot to Dwarka is 240 kms by car and 4 hrs journey.
