KHOJ Museum Ahmedabad is one of India’s first dynamic museums, connecting science, art, and innovation through participatory displays, inquiry-based activities, and inquisitiveness-based explorations.
Unlike a traditional museum, where visitors are not permitted to touch the objects, children are invited to participate in and play with the displayed activities at Khoj.
About KHOJ Museum
India’s first children’s museum is called the Khoj Museum. It aims to provide children with a variety of hands-on experiences that develop a sense of curiosity and thinking in children. The word “KHOJ” in Hindi signifies “search or discovery.” The museum aims to provide experiences, tests, and displays that encourage creative thinking, invention, and the spirit of exploration.
The museum has two locations that are open. One is at Naranpura and the other is on the Riverfront under the Nehru Bridge. The Naranpura museum is a four-story observatory that has been turned into a museum, with each floor dedicated to a different area of research related to the features and objects around us.
